Task: Physical features in the county.

(A Visit to Karura Forest)

Instructions to parents/guardians.

a) The task should be carried out within a duration of one month.

b) The parent/guardian to guide the learner to carry out every step of the task as

required.

c) The parent/guardian to provide the learner with materials required for the visit

to the forest. (camera or any other digital device that can take a photograph,

a questionnaire, hiking shoes among others)

d) The parent/guardian to take photographs of the learner carrying out every

step of the task.

e) The parent/ guardian to help the learner to develop/ build and maintain a

portfolio as evidence of achievements. The entries in the portfolio should

reflect:

❖ Samples/evidence of the learner’s work on each of the sub-tasks and the

dates of accomplishment. (pictures, drawings, photographs)

❖ Learners’ reflection on their work.
